Homemade Cosmic Brownies Recipe

These Homemade Cosmic Brownies are a fun twist on the popular store-bought version. With a chewy, fudgy brownie base topped with a glossy, chocolate ganache and colorful candy-coated sprinkles, these brownies are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:
For the Brownie Base:
1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
1/3 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup (120ml) milk
For the Chocolate Ganache Topping:
1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
For the Colorful Sprinkles:
1/4 cup (or as desired) colorful candy sprinkles (such as mini M&Ms or rainbow sprinkles)

Instructions:
1. Preheat and Prepare the Pan:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch square baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
2. Make the Brownie Batter:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth and combined.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until well combined.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Pour in the milk and mix until smooth.
3. Bake the Brownies:
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter). You want them to be fudgy, so don’t overbake them!
Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
