For the Sugar and Cinnamon Mixture: 

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted 
  • 1/4 cup sugar 
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon 

Directions 

  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9×5 inch loaf pan by greasing or lining it. 
  1. Step 2: In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. 
  1. Step 3: In another bowl, stir together the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. 
  1. Step 4: Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. 
  1. Step 5: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. 
  1. Step 6: Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. If the top gets too brown, cover it with foil. 
  1. Step 7: For an added touch, once the bread is out of the oven and still warm, brush it with melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. 
  1. Step 8: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
