1. Place the chicken drumsticks at the bottom of the slow cooker. Season them with salt, pepper, onion powder, and paprika.
2. Pour BBQ sauce over the chicken, making sure they are evenly coated. You can adjust the amount of sauce based on personal preference. Next add water.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the potatoes, ranch dressing dry mix, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss until the potatoes are coated with the seasoning mixture.
5. Transfer the seasoned potatoes to an oven-safe bowl that fits inside the slow cooker. Place the bowl on top of the chicken, making sure it’s stable and doesn’t touch the sides of the slow cooker.
6. Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours. Cooking times may vary depending on your slow cooker, so check for doneness.
7. Once the cooking time is up, carefully remove the bowl with the potatoes from the slow cooker. Use oven mitts or tongs to avoid burning yourself.
8. Serve!
