1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup brewed chai tea (cooled)
For the Chai Spice Frosting (Optional):
1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons brewed chai tea (cooled)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
Pinch of ground cardamom
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans or line them with parchment paper.
Prepare the Dry Ingredients:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg, and salt. Set aside.
Cream the Butter and Sugar:
